Perform a quick 'pre-join' check EVERY TIME you join a meeting. As easy as:
Access the meeting link >> Verify the correct settings >> Click the Join now button |
Within MS Teams, open the meeting invite and click the meeting link. Once the 'pre-join' screen is displayed, verify your settings (shown below):
(1) Correct the audio device by selecting the radio button next to the audio device being used. You can also toggle the microphone On or Off and slide the volume control up or down to the desired level.
(2) Toggle the Camera On or Off. When turned on a preview is displayed.
(3) Not sure which device is activated? Access the Device Settings icon to dive deeper into the audio/video options such as:
- Selecting the specific audio/video devices being used.
- Toggle On or Off the Noise suppression setting to block out any background noise (recommended).
- Mirror my video setting may need to be turned on if using a virtual background with text displayed so that text doesn't read backward to the audience.
- Adjust brightness setting may need to be toggled On if in a low-lighting area. This will provide artificial brightness.
