Microsoft Stream is an Enterprise Video service (part of FGCU's Office 365 suite of applications) where you can upload, view, and share videos securely. You can share recordings of classes, meetings, presentations, training sessions, or other videos that aid collaboration.
- Navigation Bar – The navigation bar at the top of any Stream page makes it easy to browse videos, Channels or Groups, create new content, or easily search for content. You can also use it to invite coworkers, access Stream Help resources, or provide your feedback to Microsoft using the small icons on the right

- Channels – Channels are an organization method for videos, but they do not restrict access/permissions. When you create a Channel, you decide whether it’s a companywide Channel that anyone in your organization can add and remove videos from, or if it’s a Group Channel where you can limit contributors. If viewers follow your Channel, they can get updates on new videos added. You can add a video to one or several Channels to help viewers find it more easily.
- Groups – Creating a Group in Microsoft Stream lets you choose a set of people to collaborate with, and set up a collection of resources for those people to share. Adding members to the Group automatically gives them the access to the videos and Channels within the Group; you may restrict access to the Group by selecting specific members.
- Search – The Search feature in MS Stream allows you to search the entire Microsoft Stream platform within FGCU to find videos, Channels, Groups, or people.
- Trimming – Trimming a video allows you to edit your recording by using sliders to adjust the start or end of a particular video.
- Interactivity on Stream – Stream offers users the ability to inject interactivity into their recorded videos. By leveraging Microsoft Forms, video creators can add Quizzes, Surveys, or Polls to their videos.
- Subtitles or Captions – You can add subtitles or captions to any Microsoft Stream video during upload or once upload is complete. You can also choose to configure your video so Stream generates closed captions automatically, using Automatic Speech Recognition technology.
