Self Service is the method Florida Gulf Coast University uses to package and allow software and Operating System upgrades to be installed to FGCU-owned MacOS devices without Administrator credentials. To have software available for install via Self Service that is currently unavailable, you must fill out a software install request form. To access one of two ways:
1) Click the Self Service icon located on your Dock, OR
2) Click the Finder icon (Figure 1), search for Self Service, click the Self Service icon, or press the Enter key (Figure 2). If Self Service does not appear contact the ITS Help Desk.

Find the program you wish to install, then click the Install button. Self Service will install your new software automatically.
If the installation process requires rebooting your computer, Self Service will prompt you to do so. Once the program status changes to "Reinstall" you can close Self Service and use the program. If you have to reboot, the program will be ready after rebooting.
