What this article covers
This article covers the steps to complete the installation of the Office 365 Suite through Webmail on a personal device.
- Navigate to https://www.office.com/?auth=2&home=1 on a web browser of your choice.
- If prompted for login credentials, enter your FGCU email address and password. Ensure that you include your email domain:
- For students, include: "@eagle.fgcu.edu"
- For faculty and staff, include: "@fgcu.edu"
- Once logged in, select the "More apps" option.
4. Select Install apps > Microsoft 365 apps.
5. From the displayed "My account" window, click Install Office.
6. The Office 365 Suite installer will open a "Save As" dialog box. Save the installation file to the Downloads folder already selected.
7. Once saved, double-click the installer download.
8. You will be asked if you want to allow this app to make changes to your device (i.e., complete the installation). To continue, enter the email and password for your device and click Yes.
9. From there, the installer will install all Office 365 applications onto your computer. Please allow this process to finish before closing any windows.
10. Once the "You're all Set" message appears, the Office 365 suite has been successfully installed! Open a few apps such as Word and PowerPoint to ensure the installation was successful.
