Information Technology Services (ITS) provides the ability to connect a device wirelessly to the podium to share your screen in classrooms and labs at FGCU using the ScreenBeam technology platform. In this article, the following device platforms are covered:
Note: The steps below assume that the podium system has already been turned on, and the "Wireless Presentation" input source has already been selected on the podium touch panel.
Windows
Windows 8.1 or later is supported
- Press the keyboard combination of Windows + K (WIN+K).
- Select the ScreenBeam named by the building and room number from the list.
- Enter the passcode presented on the preview monitor when prompted.
Mac & iOS
macOS 10.10 or later and iOS 9 or later is supported

Connect to the room's WiFi from within your settings menu first (WiFi = BLDRM-SB)
- Password = screenbeam
- Open the Control Center in iOS or tap the AirPlay menu in macOS.
- Select Screen Mirroring, then select the ScreenBeam named by the building and room number from the list.
- Enter the 4-digit security passcode presented on the preview monitor when prompted to authenticate to the device.
Android
Android 4.2 or later is supported

Open settings, tap display, then wireless display.
Note: For Samsung Galaxy Phones, select the "Smart View" option from within the notifications, drop-down menu. - Select the ScreenBeam named by the building and room number from the list.
- Enter the passcode presented on the preview monitor when prompted.
The following quick-start screen will appear on the podium "wireless presentation" selections from the touch panel options, should you require quick, per-device assistance in a specific room:
